Career Experience

I've taught English at the collegiate level for a decade now, beginning with my time as a writing tutor for the learning center at my undergraduate university. Since then, I've taught for the English departments at colleges and universities across Oklahoma, teaching Composition I and II and select literature classes.

I Love Tutoring Because

Students often have misconceptions about collegiate writing. They think it's too difficult or too boring. I like helping students learn that not only is writing accessible (anyone can do it!), it can also be enjoyable, as it gives you opportunities to express your ideas--and think about new ones--in ways you may not have thought possible.
