Career Experience

I've been a working in the writing field for several years, and offer a wide understanding of what makes an essay effective and compelling. I've successfully tutored students in college-level essays from various fields, including creative / technical / literature writing. I help develop essays that highlight persuasive and informative communication between author and audience in diverse subjects. Working together, I'll help students map out their essay from start to finish, plan discussion points, bring in useful details, lay out argument patterns, create cohesion throughout the document, and tailor their papers to whatever audience or assignment is needed. My focus is on encouraging my students to learn as they write, and figure out questions with guidance, so they will be able to conquer their challenges when they face them.

I Love Tutoring Because

tutoring gives a unique student/teacher personal experience that can't be captured purely with textbooks, technology, or artificial intelligence. There are human values and interpersonal features in language and writing which could become lost to technology. Peer-to-peer tutoring is a way to keep these values and features alive in today's modern world. This is what encourages me to tutor writing and language alongside the advancements in our current society.
