I have previously tutored in the humanities at the university level. I tutored students in subjects like art history and East Asian history. My tutor sessions focused on writing in the humanities, which consisted of helping students create strong arguments supported by evidence, citing sources, and formatting correctly.
I Love Tutoring Because
it is a great way to work one on one with students and expand my skills to become a better educator. I believe that tutoring online is a great way for students to ask for help comfortably. The most important part of working with students in English or on writing assignments in a tutor session starts by breaking down the assignment and understanding the guidelines. I approach the tutor session with a blank canvas because every student is unique in age, academic level, and what topics they are comfortable with. Being able to help students in tutor sessions online and seeing their understanding at the end of a tutor session gives a feeling of accomplishment; I was able to help a student in their education.
