Career Experience
I've tutored writing and content at the college level in a one-on-one setting with students for seven years before I began my own graduate school experience, during which time I was a graduate teaching assistant for five years, grading papers and getting a better idea of what instructors are looking for both in written assignments and general student performance before finally doing a year of teaching myself!
I Love Tutoring Because
tutoring helps me connect to a broad range of interesting people and points of view that I may otherwise have never encountered, as well as expanding my own grasp of the material by getting the takes of students on it who are seeing the material for the first time with a fresh set of eyes. I love the satisfaction of seeing someone finally grasp a concept and being able to apply it, but I also love how much I learn in return.
