Duke MBA students have the opportunity to complete an MBA Concentration in Energy & Environment to demonstrate expertise in climate risk and resilience, sustainability strategy, energy project development, and sustainable finance. MBA electives include “Climate Change, Sustainability, and Corporate Governance,” "Sustainable Operations," "Business Sustainability Reporting and Analysis", "AI Footprint: Business, Sustainability, and Society", "Energy Markets & Innovation," and the “EDGE Seminar on Energy & Environment,” in which MBAs have a unique opportunity to learn about today's most important energy and environment industry issues directly from senior business executives. Duke University also offers one of the world’s premier business and environment dual-degree programs, in which students can earn both an MBA and a Master of Environmental Management (MEM) or Master of Forestry (MF) degree in three years (https://centers.fuqua.duke.edu/edge/education/memmba/).
Complementing their classroom experience, Duke MBA students can take advantage of a wealth of experiential learning opportunities, including speakers, conferences (such as the annual Sustainable Business & Social Impact Conference), and fellowships. Project opportunities include a student-run sustainable investment fund, and applied sustainability and social impact consulting projects in the Fuqua Client Consulting Practicum program. Fuqua is also the global secretariat of ClimateCAP (www.climatecap.org), a partnership of over 50 business schools, which offers student events and fellowships.

Yes
Description
MBA students have a unique opportunity to research and publish content on Fuqua’s “MBA EDGE” platform (www.mba-edge.com), an innovative publication database of primers on key sustainability, social impact, and clean energy topics, available publicly and written for an MBA student and practitioner audience. Fuqua MBA students have written papers for publication on topics such as “The Circular Economy: What Every MBA Needs to Know” and “Fashion & Sustainability: What Every MBA Needs to Know.” Through Fuqua's Client Consulting Practicum (https://sites.fuqua.duke.edu/fccp/), Fuqua students are also able to work on applied sustainability projects for real-world companies. Recent projects have included, for instance, an analysis of investments in nature-based solutions for an energy company, and, for a large grocery retailer, financial modeling of projects to reduce emissions across a portfolio of more than 2,000 stores.
